The 7 days southern camping adventure in Namibia takes one through the African essence along the lines of culture, wildlife and camping in the wild safaris that covers most of the southern Namibia.
DAY 1 : MARIENTAL
Kalahari Anib lodge is located 30 km north east of Mariental on the C20 (Kalahari) Savour the Kalahari Desert at this easily accessible lodge. 30 standard rooms flank a shady courtyard, with another 21 comfort overlooking Kalahari savannah. Stretch legs on the walks and join the afternoon drive to experience the red Kalahari sands glow with an inner fire.

DAYS 2 – 3 : FISH RIVER CANYON
After breakfast we will drive down south to Fish River Canyon. We will make a stop at the Giant’s Playground which is where massive dolerite boulders appear to have been purposefully placed on top of one another by a gigantic hand. You will also visit the Quiver Tree Forest which is a natural phenomenon that is well worth a visit. It is a natural forest of roughly 200 quiver trees, set on a large outcrop of blackish dolomite rocks. During your stay at Canyon Village you will have a chance to go see the Fish River Canyon, and relax and cool of at the beautiful swimming pool.

DAYS 4 – 5 : SESRIEM
As there is no accommodation at Sossusvlei, visitors to this desert wilderness are likely to end up staying at Sesriem, 65 kilometres away, where camps and lodges serve as a base from which to explore the dunes. Sesriem Canyon, a deep chasm carved through the rocks by water, is a striking natural feature of the area that is best explored on foot. Stony walls rise up sharply on both sides of the canyon, while birds roost in its crags and lizards dart along the ledges. The canyon’s name was coined when early settlers used it as a water source, using six lengths of leather (‘ses riem – six thongs) tied together to lower buckets into the water at the base of canyon.)

DAY 6 : SWAKOPMUND
Leaving the beautiful desert behind we journey into the coolness of the coast where you can experience the beautiful scenery of the dunes and the sea at the same time. You will be staying in Swakopmund, beautiful town filled with historical buildings and which offers every traveler something to enjoy. Here are many activities that can be done from sky-diving to quad biking or sliding down the dunes with a sand board. The highlighted activity is a boat cruise in Walvis Bay where you will visit the bird island, meet dolphins playing in the water and pelicans joining the cruise.
