The 7 days northern camping adventure in Namibia takes one through the African essence along the lines of culture, wildlife and camping in the wild safaris that covers most of the northern Namibia.
DAYS 1 – 2 : ETOSHA SOUTH
This morning you will be heading to Etosha. You will be staying at Taleni Etosha Village which is situated 2km south of the Andersons gate. Here you will be able to enjoy relaxing at the beautiful clear swimming pool and enjoying the lovely activities the lodge offers. Some of these include star gazing, walking trails in the reserve where various small game can be seen and sundowner drives. A game drive in the Etosha National Park is part of your highlight.

DAY 3 : PALMWAG
Palmwag is a nature reserve idyllically located along a palm-lined tributary of the Uniab River. Water is scarce in this area, so the river’s presence often lures elephants closer to the camps. Palmwag is situated halfway between Swakopmund and Etosha, and is the ideal base from which to see the sights of the Kunene region or embark on one of the many local hiking trails. The reserve is notable for its unusual species of palm tree, the hyphaena pertesiana, and for being home to the largest population of south-western black rhinos in Africa. Animal lovers can also get a peek at leopard, lion, cheetah, mountain zebra, Angolan giraffe, springbok, kudu, and African bush elephant.

DAYS 4 – 5 : NAMIBIA

DAY 7 : WINDHOEK
After breakfast you will be heading to your last destination, Windhoek which is the capital city of Namibia. On the way you will pass through Okahandja which holds Namibia’s biggest craft market where you can buy some beautiful souvenirs. You will be checked into your accommodation after arrival and get a chance to rest for a while before going on a City and Township tour where you will see how the local people live in the townships and visit the craft markets and museums in the city, not forgetting the famous Christuskirche. You can join us for a lovely dinner at Joe’s Beerhouse where stories of the journey will be shared.

DAY 7 : END OF ITINERARY
Today is the end of your adventure with Marek Adventures. You will be taken to the airport where you will journey home.
OKAUKUEJO CAMPSITE | ETOSHA SOUTH
Okaukuejo is located 17 km from the southern entrance of the park, Anderson Gate. Okaukuejo is the oldest tourist camp in Etosha and it also functions as the administrative centre of the park. Okaukuejo is also home to the Etosha Ecological Institute. It is situated at the western end of the Etosha Pan. Facilities include a restaurant, bar, shop, swimming pool, kiosk and camp sites. The main attraction of this camp is that it overlooks a permanent waterhole which is floodlit at night. Here a wide diversity of wildlife congregate and interact from lion to rhino to elephant and antelope. The spectacle starts at dawn, with animals coming in large numbers to quench their thirst. The activity continues throughout the day until late at night. In the early evenings, it is not uncommon to have black rhino, elephant and lion all drinking at the same time.

PALMWAG CAMPSITE GONDWANA COLLECTION NAMIBIA | PALMWAG
121km west of Kamanjab off the C43. Home to whispering palms and the western desert wilderness, Palmwag Camp is a retreat with a difference. Here is where you will find the desert adapted elephants and the largest predator population outside of Etosha National Park.
